The game features multiple endings which depended on the choices made throughout the game as well as the results of the strike force missions. The custom loadout allowed the player to decide how to approach a mission giving more freedom. Overall, the campaign received a much-needed reimagining adding to the experience of the game, also giving increased replay value.
Each level provides a unique experience with gripping visual, great performances and constant action. The Multiplayer mode is considered as one of the best in the franchise. It is the first Call of Duty set in the future, with futuristic weapons, gadgets, and environments. While most of the game modes from Black Ops 1 carried over and remained the same the equipment loadout has been redesigned to give the player more freedom. The new point system allows the player to use 10 points towards whatever they like, whether its gun attachments, perks, or equipment.
The game features some of the best multiplayer maps with layouts allowing for various playstyles and strategies. It is not bad or anything like that, however, I do think the progression system that we have now has improved things. Thankfully if you just ignore the progression system, playing a round of team deathmatch is just as much fun here as it has ever been. At the time this was released, Call Of Duty: Black Ops felt much more fast-paced than its predecessor and I found it still fun today.
I actually played through most of the game modes again with my son recently and we had a blast doing so. I do feel that Black Ops set the tone for what the series would become.
Plowing down hordes of zombies, opening up new areas and getting new weapons is just as addictive here as it is in Black Ops IIII. I was surprised at how well this original Black Ops Zombies Mode holds up.
It does not feel as basic as I thought it would and I ended up spending quite a few hours with this last weekend so it must be good. We're talking about secret operations and delicate conflicts that will take you all over the world accessing the most advanced weapons and equipment. However, advanced for that period, since the game takes places during one of the hottest moment of the Cold War: Vietnam. Well, it's hard to say which one is the best of them all. Especially because there have been sequels to Black Ops, as well as Modern Warfare and Infinite Warfare, Ghosts or the first three games of the saga.
